The Glösa rock art center is a thousand meter long open-air museum exhibiting::

Rock carvings
- Petroglyphs estimated to be 6000 - 5000 years old.
The Elk Clan settlement - Experience the day-to-day life of the prehistoric trappers.
Trapping pits for elk - open-air exhibitions and actual excavated pits.

How to find us

Glösa is located right between Åre and
Östersund, about 5 Swedish miles from
either starting point.Take off from road
E 14 in Mörsil (25 km left to drive) or
Näskott (17 km left to drive) . See map

Along road 666, by the Alsen lake there is
a sign. From the parking lot it is a short walk
of 200 meters to the various exhibitions.


Opening times

2016: July 2th - August 7 exhibitions will be
open daily between 11.00 - 16.00.
